The new DSCT allows coronary imaging with high temporal resolution of 83 ms, which provides considerable improvement of image quality and clinical applicability without premedication, especially at higher heart rates. 30 clinical cases with coronary artery stenosis were selected. A user friendly interface was made allowing cine through transverse images, curved MPR, MIP, VR and correlation with conventional coronary angiography. Images were labelled using Terminologia Anatomica.
http://www.md-radiology.com is a free e-learning website about DSCT technology and data acquisition methods, sectional anatomy of the heart and visualization of coronary artery stenosis. It is based on clinical cases with full image series, cine viewing and 2D/3D image reformats to enhance user’s pedagogical experience. Comparison with conventional coronary angiography and interactive quizzes provides learning self-assessment. A clinical history and the indication of coronary DSCT is given for each patient. A difficulty scale is used from 1 to 3.
